The next biggie which is ready for release is Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan on September 30th. The movie unit started the promotions and very soon they will be visiting the major cities. The trailer and songs were able to generate attention among audiences.
In one of the media interactions, Karthi stated that the film will be a realistic one without much emphasis on VFX and sets like those of other period films. Karthi said that they tried to shoot the film in more historical and live locations and added that there is a uniqueness to the story.
Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions jointly bankrolled this prestigious project that has music by AR Rahman. Along with Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi are in for key roles.
