Japan, starring Karthi and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles, is up for release this Diwali season. The movie, directed by Raju Murugan, is a crime comedy. The Telugu pre-release event was held in Hyderabad last night. Natural Star Nani graced the event as chief guest.
At the event, Karthi said, “I thank everyone for your unconditional love. Nani proved that one can reach great heights in life with hard work. He started his career as an assistant director, and now he has become a successful hero. Also, the films and web shows he produces will be unique. I love Dasara and Jersey among his films. I wish Nani all the very best for Hi Nanna.”
Karthi stated, “After Sardar, once again, Nagarjuna sir is releasing Japan through Annapurna Studios, and I am pleased about it. After watching Sardar, he called and told me that the film would do well. I am hoping the same will happen for Japan. Cinematographer SV Varman and music director GV Prakash Kumar did a solid job. It was great working with Sunil Garu.”
The versatile actor further said, “I am happy to do a film under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner. I thought of undergoing a makeover when I heard the script. Japan is very close to my heart. Japan’s character is selfish. He gives back what he gets from the society. Japan will be entertaining as well as thought-provoking. The movie is releasing on 10th November, and I request the audiences to watch it in theatres.”
