Suriya is aiming to make a solid comeback with Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film features star heroine Pooja Hegde as the leading lady and is slated to hit the screens on May 1. Initially, everyone assumed that Retro was a gangster film. However, Karthik Subbaraj shocked one and all by revealing that it’s a love saga with action elements.
The title teaser and the first single received a good response from the audience. In a recent interview, Karthik Subbaraj said, “Retro has come out pretty well. The post-production activities are happening in full swing. The next song will be released soon, and that will be unique. Suriya sir is pleased with the entire film.”
Evergreen beauty Shriya Saran will be seen in a special dance number in Retro. Joju George, Jayaram, and Karunakaran are playing vital roles. Santosh Narayan is composing the tunes. Jyotika and Suriya are producing Retro under the banner of 2D Entertainment.
