As we had already revealed, Suriya’s massive comeback blockbuster Karuppu, which was released in Telugu as Veerabhadrudu, is all set to make its OTT debut on June 12, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming giant has now officially announced the premiere with an interesting surprise for Telugu audiences.
The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. However, the Telugu version comes with a unique distinction. Unlike the other language versions, Veerabhadrudu will stream exactly as it was presented during its theatrical run, preserving the localised version that resonated with Telugu audiences.
As a result, Amazon Prime Video will offer two separate streaming options for the same film. One link will provide access to the Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam versions, while a dedicated standalone link will be available exclusively for the Telugu version, Veerabhadrudu. This move has delighted fans, who are pleased that the theatrical Telugu experience has been retained for its digital release.
After grossing over Rs. 300 crore worldwide and emerging as one of the biggest successes of Suriya’s career, the action entertainer is now gearing up to test its popularity among OTT viewers.
The film is directed by RJ Balaji, who also played the antagonist. Trisha Krishnan stars as the female lead, while Anagha Ravi, Indrans, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy, Mansoor Ali Khan, and several others appear in pivotal supporting roles. Produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner, Karuppu features music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
