Karuppu

While Suriya fans are upset with the delay in the release of Karuppu, a shocking development has now taken place. While the release is currently put on hold due to financial hindrances, some theatres in North India screened the film without proper approvals.

Producer SR Prabhu, along with the Producers Council, addressed the issue in a press meet. They stated how such incidents can lead to increased piracy and damage the business prospects of the film, which is made on a budget of Rs. 140 crores.

In certain regions, the film was played for a brief period, and later, when the team got to know about the unauthorized screenings, they were stopped midway. Qube Corporation admitted its mistake regarding the unapproved screening, and this development left fans highly disappointed, with concerns over the risk of piracy.
