Today, King Nagarjuna graced the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of ANR College in Gudivada, Krishna District, as the chief guest. His presence was a memorable moment for students, staff, and attendees alike.

During his address, Nagarjuna revealed that the Akkineni family will set up a Rs. 2 crore scholarship fund at ANR College in remembrance of his parents, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Annapurna Akkineni. He added that the initiative was a collective decision taken by himself, his sister Susheela, his brother Venkat, and the entire ANR family.

Nagarjuna said, “We considered it our responsibility to honor our parents meaningfully. We will work with the ANR College management to finalize the formalities and ensure the fund is implemented in the right way. Years ago, my father had contributed Rs. 1 lakh to this institution, and it feels only right that we continue his legacy.”

The announcement was met with warm applause from students and faculty, applauding not just the family’s generosity but also their lasting commitment to education and community service.
