Last year, the makers officially announced Sarpatta 2, giving fans a major reason to celebrate. The latest update reveals that the second installment of the much-loved sports drama isn’t a sequel but a prequel. The same was confirmed by the film’s leading lady, Dushara Vijayan.
In an interview, the actress said, “Sarpatta 2 shooting begins this month. I’m very excited. This one is going to be a prequel to the story, so even I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s going to shape up. Mariyamma is coming back. Sarpatta Part 1 was released on OTT due to COVID, but this one is going to have a proper theatrical release.”
