At the promotions of Thimmaraju Palli TV, actor-producer Kiran Abbavaram shared an interesting observation about audience behavior across industries.

Speaking candidly, he highlighted the difference in mindset between Telugu and Malayalam cinema viewers. Kiran noted that Malayalam audiences tend to be more patient, even if the story takes time to unfold.

“Even if the plot doesn’t open up until the 40–50 minute mark, they keep watching, curious about what the filmmaker is trying to say,” he said.

In contrast, he pointed out that Telugu audiences often expect quicker engagement. “If the story doesn’t open up by the 40th minute, people start thinking about leaving,” he added.

His comments have sparked discussion about evolving audience expectations in Telugu. One needs to see how his film opens up with the general audience.
