Hindi film superstar Salman Khan’s Eid festive treat, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, opened yesterday to unfavorable reviews. The film has failed to entice even the loyal fans of Bhai. As a result, KBKJ registered a shockingly low day-one collection at the box office worldwide.
According to the trade analysts, KBKJ collected around Rs 15 crore nett at the ticket counters across India. The film registered the second lowest-ever opening in Salman’s career in the last 10 years. The 2009 film Wanted (Rs 5 Cr nett) was the lowest-ever opener in the actor’s career.
KBKJ is an official remake of Tamil superstar Ajith’s Veeram. The Hindi version has been panned heavily by critics for its mediocre plot and unexciting performances. The Farhad Samji directorial also features Venkatesh, Pooja Hegde, and Jagapathi Babu in lead roles.
