Mega Prince Varun Tej’s latest film Korean Kanakaraju has finally hit theatres today. Even before its release, the horror-comedy generated solid pre-release momentum, with the paid premiere shows receiving encouraging early responses.
Amid the film’s release, director Merlapaka Gandhi confirmed that Korean Kanakaraju is officially getting a sequel. During a recent interaction, he revealed that he already has an idea for the next installment and ensured the film itself lays the foundation for what comes next.
The movie ends with an open climax that introduces a new chapter, shifting the story to Africa and setting up the sequel. While there is no clarity yet on when the project will go on floors, the director has made it clear that the franchise will continue.
Korean Kanakaraju also stars Ritika Nayak and Satya in pivotal roles. Produced by UV Creations in association with First Frame Entertainments, the film has music composed by Thaman.
