Varun Tej scored a box-office hit after many years with the horror-comedy entertainer Korean Kanakaraju. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the movie features Ritika Nayak as the female lead. The entertainment quotient worked in the film’s favor, resulting in commercial success.
After a superb first weekend, Korean Kanakaraju held well on weekdays too. The film has now entered its second weekend on a positive note despite the competition and is clocking good occupancies in the Telugu states. Without competition, Korean Kanakaraju would have done a lot better, but it is still a satisfactory result for Varun Tej, who had been lying low with a string of flops.
Satya, Muralidhar Goud, Srinivas Avasarala and Master Revanth appeared in key roles. Produced by UV Creations in association with First Frame Entertainments, Korean Kanakaraju features music by Thaman.
