Cost-cutting discussions have once again become a hot topic in Tollywood. As per the latest buzz, producers are reportedly focusing first on reducing heroines’ remuneration as part of budget control measures.

Noted actress Kriti Sanon says that the fees of mid-range actresses are being reconsidered, while there is still very little discussion around the massive paychecks of star heroes.

With consecutive box office failures and declining theatrical revenues, producers are now looking for ways to minimize production expenses.

Kriti says that these cuts are falling mainly on heroines and character artists. At the same time, a section of filmmakers believes that real change will happen only when top heroes agree to reduce their remuneration.
