Satya was Ram Gopal Varma’s best work to date and there is no denying the fact. The film changed the image of Indian cinema as a realistic approach of film making was brought in by RGV with this film.
Manoj Bajpayee became an overnight sensation with this film which had JD Chakravarthy and Urmila in the main lead.
The film completes 21 years today and is still remembered for its performances and gritty visuals. The film was a hit in Telugu as well but in Hindi, it broke several stereotypes and is known as a modern day classic.
