Actress Lavanya Konidela Tripathi, wife of Varun Tej, has filed a complaint with the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police over alleged harassment on social media. According to her complaint, a specific Instagram account has been posting abusive and defamatory content aimed at her.

Lavanya stated that the account shared false allegations and objectionable remarks about her and her family, which she believes have caused personal distress and harmed her reputation.

Following her complaint, a case has reportedly been registered under Section 67 of the IT Act and Sections 78 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which relate to offences committed online. Cyber Crime officials have begun an investigation and are working to trace the individual operating the account through digital and technical evidence.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Lavanya Tripathi is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Sathi Leelavathi. The film was earlier slated to release on March 6, 2026, but has since been postponed, with the makers yet to announce a revised release date.
