It’s been reported a couple of months ago that Baahubali: Before The Beginning, a prequel to the world of Mahishmati, will be made as a Netflix series. The series will be streamed in two seasons and the first season will be based on the book The Rise of Sivagami by Anand Neelakantan.
As per the latest updates, Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur will play a young Shivagami, while acclaimed actor Rahul Bose will play Skandhadasa. The first season will have 9 episodes, to be directed by Deva Katta and Praveen Sataru. Baahubali producers Prasad and Shobu will produce the series in association with Netflix.
