Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram’s Geeta Govindam is one of the biggest blockbusters in Telugu cinema in terms of ROI. The duo has once again joined hands for the movie Family Star, which is nearing its release. Mrunal Thakur is the female lead, and the trailer was unveiled very recently.

The buzz in the film circles is that Family Star will have a lengthy runtime of 160 minutes (2 hours and 40 minutes). The official confirmation about the runtime and censor certificate will be out soon. The runtime wouldn’t be an issue if the screenplay is gripping. Interestingly, Vijay Deverakonda’s last flick, Kushi, also had the same runtime.

Family Star is releasing in Tamil and Hindi as well along with the Telugu version. Yesterday’s release, Tillu Square, is expected to do solid numbers in its long run, but that shouldn’t be an obstacle for Family Star since the Summer season can very much accommodate two films. If Family Star also receives good feedback, then the Tollywood industry can witness some crazy box office numbers in the coming weeks.
