Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin is finally hitting the big screens on July 10. The film faced a couple of postponements, but fans are hopeful that Akhil will deliver a big hit and make a comeback with this film. Murali Kishor Abburu is the director, while Bhagyasri Borse plays the female lead.
Today, the makers unveiled the theatrical trailer at an event in Vizag, and it looks intense, with full-on action. The trailer features the voiceover of Nagarjuna, and the story is set in Sri Rama Puram in the Chittoor district. Sri Rama Puram is considered a sacred place, and there is a belief that blood should not fall on the ground.
After introducing the world, the trailer shifts into a romantic zone with some playful conversations between the lead pair, and then it drifts into the action zone as the villains go after a character close to the protagonist. The film is often compared to the Mahabharata. The last minute of the trailer is so good, with a seamless blend of romance and action.
Akhil looks terrific in the action scenes, unleashing his fury. He requests the villains to leave the female lead, showing innocence, after which he goes on a killing spree. Akhil’s transformation, body language as a rural youngster, and his chemistry with the female lead look impressive. Bhagyasri Borse looks charming as a village belle. The content, too, appears promising, with Shivaji in a negative role. Thaman’s score is fiery.
On the whole, the trailer looks impactful, setting the stage for a solid action drama. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna Akkineni under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios.
