Released on October 19 as a Dasara festive treat, Tamil star Vijay’s pan-India gangster drama, Leo, went on to become a historic blockbuster at the box office. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has grossed over Rs 600 crore across the world and has emerged as the highest grossing Tamil movie of 2023, beating Rajinikanth’s Jailer.
Now, the latest updates coming in from the Tamil film circles reveals that Leo is all set to re-release in most than 100 plus screens across Tamil Nadu. The reason behind the re-release plan is the lack of any promising movies that will manage to generate decent revenues at the ticket counters. Also, even in its 5th week, Leo is continuing a steady run at the box office.
Also starring Trisha, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun in lead roles, Leo is produced by SS Lalit Kumar. The film has Anirudh Ravichander’s chartbuster soundtrack.
