Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to make his acting debut as a lead with DC, a crime romance co-starring Wamiqa Gabbi. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the film is now slated to hit theatres on August 7, 2026, after being postponed from its previously announced release date of July 31, 2026.
Ahead of its release, DC has completed its censor formalities and received an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC. Interestingly, it joins Vijay’s Jana Nayagan and Demonte Colony 3 among the recent Tamil films to receive the same rating.
Backed by Sun Pictures, the film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Arun Ranjan has penned the additional screenplay. With Lokesh Kanagaraj stepping in front of the camera as a lead actor for the first time, DC has already generated considerable buzz ahead of its release.
