Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest release, ended its theatrical run with disappointing numbers at the box office. Directed by Vignesh Shivan and co-produced by Nayanthara, the futuristic romantic drama failed to meet expectations despite decent pre release buzz.
The makers officially revealed that the film collected Rs. 66.47 crore gross worldwide in 25 days. Considering the film’s scale and budget, the final total is underwhelming.
With this, Pradeep Ranganathan’s successful Rs. 100 crore streak has come to an end. His previous three theatrical releases crossed the milestone comfortably, but LIK failed to continue the dream run.
The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video yesterday in multiple languages. However, the OTT response has also been below par, similar to its theatrical performance. Lalith Kumar produced the film, while Anirudh Ravichander composed the music.
