Anupama Parameswaran, who was last seen in the poorly received Tamil film Lockdown, is set to star in the upcoming Telugu crime thriller Mareechika. She shares screen space with Regina Cassandra and Baby fame Viraj Ashwin, both of whom play key lead roles.
Directed by Satish Kasetty, the film is currently generating very little buzz, with only a few people taking notice of its upcoming release on May 29, 2026. The trailer failed to intrigue audiences, and despite featuring two well known lead actresses, the project has struggled to gain traction.
Advance bookings have not yet opened, meaning the film will have to rely heavily on positive word of mouth after its release. The project is produced by Rajiv Chilaka and Meghhaa Chilakka under the banner of Chilaka Productions, with music composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja.
