Samantha scored a mammoth blockbuster with Maa Inti Bangaaram, directed by Nandini Reddy. Recently, the team held a success meet where Samantha revealed that she is pregnant. The news came as a surprise to her fans. In a recent interview, Nandini Reddy revealed how the news shocked her during the shoot.
“We were about to shoot the Thassadiyya song. I was told that Samantha was not doing well. All the artists were ready. Generally, Sam arrives on time. I planned to complete the song in four days, but they asked me if I could do it in two days. Then Sam came and shot for the day. The next morning, when she came, I asked how her health was. Suddenly, Sam told me that she was carrying. I was shocked and frozen,” said Nandini Reddy.
She added, “Samantha asked me not to reveal the news to others. I asked the dance choreographer not to make her rehearse much. I wanted the energy to be there for the take. I told her to inform me if she felt uncomfortable at any time. Later, we filmed the car chase sequence too. I scheduled the shoot after 3:30 in the afternoon to ensure the temperature wasn’t extremely hot. I took care not to strain her too much.”
