Released on May 9 to average reviews and a thumping response from fans, Superstar Mahesh Babu’s silver jubilee film, Maharshi, is continuing its non-Baahubali record breaking run even in its second week. The film is all set to surpass Mahesh’s previous best Bharat Ane Nenu’s lifetime collections and even enter the Rs 100 crore club by the end of its full-run.
In its 11-day journey at the box-offices across Andhra, Nizam and Ceded regions, Maharshi collected a whopping share of Rs 72.79 crore in the twin Telugu states. This is a non-Baahubali record share for any Telugu movie in 11 days. Maharshi has already entered the list of all-time top 5 AP, Telangana lifetime grossers. The film stands next only to Baahubali 2, Baahubali, Rangasthalam and Khaidi No 150.
While Maharshi looks all set to beat Khaidi No 150’s lifetime collections (Rs 79.04 Cr) in its full-run, surpassing Rangasthalam’s lifetime collections (Rs 92.47 Cr) seems to be a tough challenge now.
Below are Maharshi’s AP & TS 11-day collections (in shares):
Nizam – Rs 25.4 Cr
Ceded – Rs 9.06 Cr
Guntur – Rs 7.86 Cr
Vizag – Rs 8.94 Cr
East – Rs 7.92 Cr
West – Rs 5.51 Cr
Krishna – Rs 5.42 Cr
Nellore – Rs 2.70 Cr
Total AP & TS 11-day collections – Rs 72.79 Crore
