Mahesh admires Chiranjeevi very much and even claimed on several occasions that Megastar is his favorite hero after his father Krishna. Also, Mahesh is quite close to producer Anil Sunkara, who bankrolled his Dookudu, 1 Nenokkadine, Aagadu and Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The star hero is also good friends with Meher Ramesh, who played a crucial role in his yesteryear film, Bobby.
