There’s been a major reshuffle in the release dates of some of the most awaited films of the year. While the makers of Shankar’s 2.0 postponed the film to January 25, 2018, Vijay-Atlee’s film took up the Diwali slot that was left vacant after 2.0 was postponed.
In Telugu too, there has been a major reshuffle of dates. The biggest of them all is Mahesh Babu-AR Murugadoss’s Spyder. It’s now confirmed that the film won’t be releasing on June 23 as announced earlier. Apparently, the producers of Spyder have conveyed their decision to other producers in the industry and earlier today, the makers of Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham announced that the film will be releasing on June 23.
Meanwhile, there’s no clarity, yet, about when Spyder might release. Since it’s a bilingual film, the makers are eager to find a good release date for the Tamil release. As of now, films like Sivakarthikeyan-Nayanthara’s Velaikkaran and Vijay-Atlee’s films have occupied the Dusshera and Diwali holidays space, and amidst all this Ajith’s much-anticipated Vivegam is slotted for release as well. We’ve to wait and watch what the makers of Spyder are going to decide in near future.
