Just when Sarileru Neekevvaru was gearing up for a grand solo release on January 11, the makers of Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo had unexpectedly planned to advance their film’s release date by a day, leading to a clash between both the movies on the same day. However, Tollywood bigwigs had intervened and averted the clash in the last minute.
Since then, a lot has been said about the epic clash wish almost got the fans and trade circles on their toes. In a latest interview while promoting Sarileru Neekevvaru, Mahesh Babu opened up about the averted clash with Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo.
Mahesh said that it’s not about the competition, but it’s about revenue sharing. “If two big films are released on the same day, it’s not good for either one. A big, solo release will gather numbers, so that the financial backers can get back their investment,” he said.
