Main Vaapus Aaunga has firmly proved that content is king and word of mouth is the best marketing tool for any film. Set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition, the film directed by Imtiaz Ali opened with Rs. 1.2 crore nett, but went on to collect over Rs. 65 crore nett in its lifetime.
The latest we hear is that the much-appreciated romantic drama will likely make its OTT debut on August 7. Netflix holds the post-theatrical streaming rights to Main Vaapus Aaunga. An official announcement is expected soon.
Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina played the lead roles. Banita Sandhu, Rajat Kapoor, Sanjay Suri, Anjana Sukhani, and Danish Pandor appeared in supporting roles. A.R. Rahman’s beautiful music and Imtiaz Ali’s magical storytelling helped the film enjoy a dream run.
