Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which arrived in theatres as a Ugadi release, has completed four days at the box office. Starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Harish Shankar, the cop action drama opened to mixed responses from both critics and audiences.
The makers are yet to announce official figures, but early estimates suggest the film’s first weekend gross has fallen short of the Rs. 100 crore mark. With the initial holiday advantage now over, all eyes are on Monday, widely seen as the deciding factor in shaping a film’s box office trajectory.
Overseas, the film has grossed more than $700K in North America. On the domestic front, ticket sales have crossed the $1 million milestone on BookMyShow alone, indicating solid initial traction despite the mixed talk.
The film features Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, Parthiban, Rao Ramesh, and KS Ravikumar in key roles. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman.
