With the experimental film Bramayugam, Mollywood Megastar Mammootty scored a super hit. The horror thriller made about 60 crores gross despite not having any commercial elements. Now, the actor has come up with an action thriller titled Turbo. Unlike Bramayugam, Turbo didn’t get unanimous reviews.
But that didn’t stop the movie from achieving solid box office numbers. Till now, the movie has garnered about 57 crores gross at the worldwide box office and is all set to overtake Bramayugam. If the movie had got positive talk, it would have gone past the 100 crore mark.
But now the chances for 100 crores look bleak. Directed by Vysakh, the movie stars popular Kannada artist Raj B Shetty as the antagonist. Telugu comedian Sunil played a key role. The movie also has Anjana Jayaprakash, Sabareesh Varma, Dileesh Pothan, and Bindu Panicker in crucial roles.
