Manamey has seen good occupancy in the last few days since word of mouth has increased. The film started with a very low buzz and did not get a great start at the box office.
Only when word of mouth improved did occupancy increase. As the film is a family drama, the collections over the weekend have been quite good, say the trade experts.
Seeing the film’s success, the makers should have promoted it more aggressively before its release. Though it is a musical, Manamey had no musical promotions, and this would have helped the openings a lot. We need to see how the film fares from tomorrow.
Sharwanand has made a comeback after a long gap as his performance in the film has been appreciated. Sriram Aditya directed the film, which has Krithi Shetty as the heroine.
