Mandaadi created a rampage with the rural sports drama, which became Soori’s first-ever Rs. 100 crore grosser globally. The Telugu version has also emerged as a commercial success.
The movie, also starring Suhas, has crossed the Rs. 80 crore mark at the Tamil Nadu box office and has a shot at the Rs. 100 crore milestone in its home territory. Only star hero films achieved this landmark earlier, and if Mandaadi can go past the three-digit figure, it will be a historic achievement.
Let’s see if Mandaadi has enough fuel in it to achieve that. Written and directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi and produced by RS Infotainment, the film also stars Sathyaraj and Mahima Nambiar in key roles.
