Mandaadi is the latest sports action drama from Kollywood, starring Soori and Suhas in the lead roles. The film succeeded in piquing the audience’s interest with its trailer, which featured some superb visuals.
On day 1, the film took a decent start in Tamil Nadu while selling 120K tickets on BookMyShow. The Telugu version really didn’t contribute much on the opening day. The movie made a solid turnaround on day 2 by selling 240K tickets on the ticketing platform. The growth is double that of day one.
Surely, these numbers contain weekend bookings as well, but here’s the best part. The collections went up from day 1 not just in Tamil Nadu but also in the Telugu states despite Friday being a working day. When a film manages to grow on a working day, it clearly means it has found acceptance.
Several centres in the Telugu states witnessed healthy growth, putting the film on track for a very good weekend ahead. There is a holiday on Monday for Vinayaka Chaturthi, and it should further increase the momentum.
