After the blockbuster hits Premalu and Bramayugam, another Malayalam film, Manjummel Boys, had a great start at the box office. While Premalu picked up with good word of mouth, the other two movies had solid expectations among the audience and trade right from the beginning.
The movie has now crossed the 40 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office and very soon, it will be crossing the half-century mark. As we predicted earlier, it shouldn’t be a tough task for the film to cross the 100 crores gross mark. The hold on weekdays is exceptional, to say the least.
Directed by Chidambaram, Manjummel Boys is a survival thriller based on an actual incident where a few friends set out on a journey to Kodaikanal. The movie features Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapati S Poduval, Jean Paul Lal, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arjun Kurian, and others in pivotal roles.
