Talking about the film, Rajini said that 2.0. is a thriller, entertainer and that it has a universal message – “the universe is not only for humans but also other creatures.” Coming to his director, the Thalaivar said, “Shankar is India’s greatest showman, magician, India’s James Cameron and Steven Spielberg. He has taken Tamil film industry to international level. Directors like Shankar, Rajamouli and Rajkumar Hirani are India’s pride.”
Rajini then appreciated Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s hard work for the movie. Rajini described the film’s music composer AR Rahman as a God’s child. Rajini then thanked the film’s producer Subhaskaran and congratulated him in advance for a huge blockbuster.
Finally, Rajini said that he has been hearing a lot of rumours that the makers are not promoting the movie aggressively. “This film doesn’t need a lot of promotion. Each and every audience member and even the national media will promote the film after its release,” said Rajini.
