Megastar Chiranjeevi who served as a Rajyasabha member on the behalf of Congress party till 2018 has voluntarily severed ties with the party.
Congress party Andhra Pradesh wing in-charge Oomen Chandy announced that Chiranjeevi is no longer a member of the party as he did not renew his membership with the party for a while now.
This would mean that Chiranjeevi is no longer active in state or national politics.
Needless to say, he has been staying away from active politics for the past 3-4 years. He is entirely focused on his film career now and he will next be seen in Acharya.
