Tamil superstar Vijay surprised everyone when he decided to act under young filmmaker Atlee’s direction for Theri last year. The film went on to become one of Vijay’s highest grossing movies and the actor followed it up with yet another surprise by working with Atlee once again for Mersal. Mersal is all set for a grand release in a few hours.
In his latest interview as part of Mersal’s promotions, Atlee pulled off a much bigger surprise. Responding to the rumors that he will again team up with Vijay after Vijay wraps up Murugadoss’ film, Atlee said that he and Vijay may indeed team up for their hat-trick film in the near future. Atlee further said that the decision ultimately lies in Vijay’s hands.
Atlee has a good reputation among Vijay’s fans, who are of the opinion that Atlee brings out the best in Vijay. Some clarity might emerge early next year.
