Akhil’s much-awaited romantic entertainer, Mr Majnu, released yesterday and received an average response. The film had a modest opening at the box-offices across the US. Mr Majnu connected $81,176 from 153 locations from its Thursday night premieres.
And on Friday, until 12:00 AM EST, Mr Majnu collected $40,401 from 113 locations, taking the latest US total to $121K. The film needs to perform well over the weekend since it needs to collect $1 million to reach the break even status.
