The Nandamuri home is full of sadness after the death of Smt. Padmaja, wife of Nandamuri Jayakrishna, the second son of famous actor and past Chief, N.T. Rama Rao. She died early on Tuesday at 73.
Padmaja, the eldest daughter-in-law of Sr. NTR and Smt. Basava Rama Tarakam, was also the sister of senior leader Daggubati Venkateswara Rao. She was deeply loved in the family and remembered for her warmth and grace.
Family folks say Padmaja was sick for a while. On Tuesday, she had bad breathing problems and was taken fast to the hospital, where she was said to have passed.
Her loss has made a gap in the Nandamuri family. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu left Vijayawada right after he got the news, while BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari is on her way from Delhi to be with the family. The plans for her last goodbye are to be told soon.
