Fresh off the blockbuster success of Lokah: Chapter 1, young talent Naslen returned to the big screen with Mollywood Times. Directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, the Malayalam dark comedy drama was released in theatres on June 5, 2026. While the film received praise from a section of the audience, others felt it did not live up to the pre-release hype.
Now, OTT platform Jio Hotstar has officially announced that Mollywood Times will premiere on July 3, 2026. Adding to the excitement, the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi dubbed versions will also be available from day one.
Several Malayalam films have found a wider audience after their digital debut, and it remains to be seen whether Mollywood Times will enjoy a similar response on OTT.
The film earned appreciation for its technical brilliance and features Sangeeth Prathap, Sharaf U Dheen, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Gopika Ramesh, and others in pivotal roles. Produced by Ashiq Usman under the Ashiq Usman Productions banner, the film has music composed by Jakes Bejoy.
