Star heroine Nayanthara had earlier joined forces with her director husband Vignesh Shivan on Naanum Rowdythaan (2015) and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (2022). The actress had also acted in Netrikann (2021) and Connect (2022) that were produced by Vignesh.

Now, Nayan is all set to be directed by Vignesh for the third time. This as-yet-untitled movie also features Love Today actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan in a lead role. The film is expected to begin its shooting formalities in June. However, Nayan is yet to sign on the dotted line.

Legendary actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan will be bankrolling the Nayan-Vignesh-Pradeep film. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.
