Tamil superstar Dhanush’s upcoming film, Jagame Thandhiram is gearing up for its worldwide digitised premieres on Netflix on 18th of this month. Here is an interesting update on Netflix’s acquisition of the film.
Reportedly, Netflix paid a whopping amount of Rs 60 crores to acquire the direct to digital rights of the Dhanush starrer. This is one of the biggest ever deals in the Tamil film industry.
The makers of Jagame Thandhiram have made table profits through this deal with Netflix. Though hesitant at first, Dhanush agreed to go ahead with the Netflix deal, given the uncertainty surrounding theatrical business in Tamil Nadu.
