Niharika Konidela’s Pink Elephant Pictures has collaborated with Maximum City Studios to present Pocket Rockets, an upcoming urban drama written and directed by Rudra Atri. The movie stars Trinadh Varma, who gained recognition with Committee Kurrollu, alongside debutant Nirmal. Shriya Kontham of Shubham fame plays the female lead, while JD Chakravarthy and Srinivas Avasarala essay crucial roles.
Today, the makers unveiled the first glimpse, titled “First Hand”, and it looks intriguing. The movie revolves around a brilliant but underprivileged student who struggles to fulfil his goals. With the help of the female lead, the protagonist and his friend venture into gambling in Sri Lanka.
Although the hero initially takes this step to secure a better future, he soon gets addicted to gambling and starts chasing bigger money. This aspect of the glimpse makes things more interesting, as the film seems to explore the theme of human greed.
Padmaja Konidela, Rahul Raghavendra and Rahul Nimmakuri have produced the film, with Ramesh Manyam serving as executive producer. The movie releases on December 11, while Gyaani is composing the music.
