Natural Star Nani’s The Paradise is finally arriving in cinemas tomorrow, with premieres beginning tonight. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film has been in the making for years and is now set for its theatrical release.
However, audiences in India will not get to experience the film in the same form as overseas viewers. The CBFC has reportedly ordered cuts, mutes and blurs to several intense portions, affecting some of the violence, bloodshed and unfiltered conversations featured in the film.
The overseas version, meanwhile, retains these elements, allowing audiences there to experience The Paradise closer to the way Srikanth Odela intended.
The difference has left sections of Telugu audiences disappointed, particularly with overseas viewers getting access to portions that have been altered for the Indian release.
With the film heading into a highly anticipated opening, the premiere talk becomes crucial. With limited competition at the box office, strong audience word of mouth could give The Paradise the momentum it needs.
