Versatile actor Chiyaan Vikram has collaborated with director Pa Ranjith for the pan-Indian period drama Thangalaan, set to grace theaters on January 26, 2024. Malavika Mohanan takes on the lead role in this film.
The recently unveiled teaser is striking for its absence of any dialogue. Vikram’s portrayal in the teaser exudes rawness, rustic charm, and an air of brutality. Set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields, the Thangalaan teaser immerses viewers in the rugged lifestyle of the inhabitants and their fight for survival and, ultimately, freedom. The teaser’s impact is greatly enhanced by the exceptional musical score by GV Prakash Kumar, and cinematographer Kishor Kumar’s visuals are nothing short of breathtaking.
The film also boasts a cast that includes Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and others. Studio Green produced it in collaboration with Neelam Productions. Thangalaan will be released in both 2D and 3D formats. Stay tuned for more updates.
