With Sing Geetham gearing up for its June 11 release, the Telugu box office is set to welcome a new film. However, trade circles believe the release is unlikely to pose a significant challenge to Peddi, which is currently enjoying a strong run in theatres.
Unlike Peddi, Sing Geetham is a small-scale film without major stars or a massive pre-release buzz despite being backed by the likes of Nag Ashwin.
Even if the Singeetham Srinivasa Rao film manages to impress audiences and emerge as a surprise hit, its target audience and box-office potential are expected to be very different from that of the Ram Charan starrer.
As a result, Peddi appears to have a relatively free week ahead with no major competition on the horizon. One needs to see how Peddi fares from hereon.
