No more benefit shows in Telangana, says Cinematography Minister

Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy has made a significant announcement regarding the future of benefit shows in the state. This decision follows the tragic incident at Sandhya 70 mm theater in Hyderabad during the premiere of Pushpa 2, where a woman and her child lost their lives in a stampede.

In light of this, the minister expressed that it would be inappropriate to continue granting permissions for benefit shows, and has called for a halt to such shows for all movie releases in Telangana.

While many have supported the move, others believe that with enhanced security measures, such accidents can be avoided. It remains to be seen how this change will impact future releases, but one thing is clear: opening day collections for movies may see a slight shift as a result of this new regulation.
