NTR, Samantha, Allu Arjun win top Filmfare honors

The 64th Filmfare Awards South took place in a star studded fashion last night. Stars from all the four major film industries down South descended at the HICC in Hyderabad.

Young Tiger NTR (Nannaku Prematho) and beauty queen Samantha (A..Aa) won the Best Actor Male and Female awards respectively. In the Critic’s Choice section, Allu Arjun was awarded the Best Actor Male (Sarrainodu), while Ritu Varma was adjudged Best Female Actor (Pelli Choopulu).

Pelli Choopulu was awarded the Best Film and Vamshi Paidipally took home the Best Director black lady for Oopiri. Veteran actress-filmmaker Dr. Vijaya Nirmala was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award. DSP won the Best Music Director award for Nannaku Prematho.
