Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna was recently honored by the Indian government with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award. With Balayya ticking off one prestigious honor for the Nandamuri family, all eyes are now on the long-cherished wish of Bharat Ratna for the legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, NT Ramarao.
In a media interaction earlier today, Balakrishna opened up about his Padma Bhushan and Bharat Ratna for NTR. “I have begun my second innings with the Padma Bhushan honor. Nobody can challenge me. I challenge myself. I shall work harder with double the determination and hunger. Like I always said, no award is an honor for me; I’m an honor for these awards. The Padma Bhushan is a result of the blessings of my parents and my fans,” said the Daaku Maharaaj star.
Talking about the Bharat Ratna for NT Ramarao demand, Balayya said, “NTR will surely get Bharat Ratna. It’s been a long-cherished wish, and the hunger will remain until the prestigious honor is bestowed upon him,” Balayya said. In other news, legendary industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata is said to be the frontrunner in the Bharat Ratna nominees this year.
