Yesterday, reports suggested that 418 The Movie, backed by Mythri Movie Makers, would once again be postponed from September 18. The horror thriller presented by Prashanth Neel has officially been postponed indefinitely, as per the latest update.
The makers took to social media and released a public note stating that they are exploring a Hindi release alongside the South Indian versions. Recently, a few North exhibitors watched the film and responded very positively. Following the special screenings, they further expressed interest in bringing 418 The Movie to Hindi-speaking audiences as well.
A simultaneous release across all languages will require time to plan things neatly so that the movie gets the visibility it deserves. Hence, Mythri Movie Makers decided to push back the release with the intention of taking 418 The Movie to a wider audience. Well-made horror films have always had a good run in the Hindi market, and the makers of 418 The Movie are indeed thinking in the right direction.
The new release date will be announced soon. Written and directed by debutant Kirtan Nadagouda, the film stars Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, Chaitra J. Achar, and Preethi Pagadala in key roles.
