Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi had recently confirmed his collaboration with legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Now, the project has been officially announced, much to the excitement of fans.
This film marks the 23rd production of Madras Talkies. Sai Pallavi, who is currently busy shooting for Ramayana, will play the female lead in this project. Interestingly, it marks Vijay Sethupathi’s second collaboration with Mani Ratnam and Sai Pallavi’s first with the ace director. Naturally, there is a lot of curiosity around how the master filmmaker will present Sai Pallavi on screen.
Lyca Productions is backing this big-budget venture, which is said to be a musical. AR Rahman will compose the music for this yet-to-be-titled film. The movie is expected to go on floors in summer 2026, with more details to be announced soon.
